The Pearl of Great Value
Once upon a time, in a small fishing village, there was a humble fisherman named Elias. One day, while casting his net, Elias felt a strange tug. As he pulled up his net, he found it contained a large, beautifully shimmering pearl.
11 Thus says the Lord GOD: I myself will look after and tend my sheep.
10 Who shall find a strong woman? Far away, and from the furthest parts, is her price.
12 Wisdom is pure and never fades away, and is easily seen by those who love her and found by those who seek her.
14B I am a great King, says the Lord of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the Gentiles.
1 And now, O priests, this command is to you.
Thus says the LORD:
20 “You shall not harass the newcomer, nor shall you afflict him. For you yourselves were once newcomers in the land of Egypt.
1 Thus says the Lord to my anointed Cyrus, whose right hand I hold, so that I may subjugate the nations before his face, and I may turn the backs of kings, and I may open the doors before him, and so that the gates will not be shut.
6 The Lord of hosts will cause all the peoples on this mountain to feast on fatness, to feast on wine, a fatness full of marrow, a purified wine.
1 I will sing to my beloved the canticle of my paternal cousin, about his vineyard. A vineyard was made for my beloved, at the horn in the son of oil.
Thus says the LORD:
25 You say, “The way of the Lord is not fair.’ Therefore, listen, O house of Israel. How could it be that my way is not fair? And is it not instead your ways that are perverse?
6 Seek the Lord, while he is able to be found. Call upon him, while he is near.
30 Anger and fury are both abominable, and the sinful man will be held by them.
Thus says the LORD:
7 You, son of man, I have made you a watchman to the house of Israel. Therefore, having heard the word from my mouth, you shall announce it to them from me.
7 “You have led me away, O Lord, and I have been led away. You have been stronger than I, and you have prevailed. I have become a derision all day long; everyone mocks me.
Thus says the LORD to Shebna, master of the palace:
19 “I will expel you from your station, and I will depose you from your ministry.
